Petit fours and creme puffs, some cute little egg and bacon flower cups we found on Pinterest, mini pancake kabobs with strawberries and Nutella or whipped cream and of course danish (for Holly Golightly) made up our menu. And what's breakfast without mimosas?

Breakfast at Tiffany's C&C Inspiration
We had a little breakfast for dinner party last night, partially just for fun and partially because we thought it would make for an excellent theme for a Cocktails and Couture event at Malindy Elene! So we stretched our legs a bit and put together a really fun tablescape and some tasty treats that make for a great get together with the girls! Breakfast at Tiffany's inspired colors and accessories make for a vibrant table setting and just the right amount of glam!

Alice in Wonderland Styled Shoot with AKA Photography and Misred Outfitters
Theme parties are kind of my thing, pretty much whenever I can find an excuse its time to go all out. I've put together a couple of rockstar karaoke parties, and my more recent birthdays may have been Mad Men or Disney themed. I just love getting to focus on an idea and transform things into something so fun and different from the every day. Being the Pinterest junkie that so many of us are lately, I was seeing way too many fun ideas to not do an Alice in Wonderland themed shoot. Lucky for me Kristen at AKA Photographs shared my enthusiasm and not only agreed to shoot the spectacular, but she went as far as to fashion the headband and sew the skirt for our Alice! Some of the other costume pieces (listed below) were graciously provided by an amazing 60's and 70's vintage shop called Misred Outfitters, located in downtown St Pete.
The other element of this shoot that makes it so special to me is that both of my grandmothers will be proud of it. My mom's mother gave my sisters and I each a full Royal Albert tea set over the years, we've mixed and matched the sets here to get that kooky, Mad Hatter vibe. My dad's mom frequently sends me baking supplies, most recently a cake pop pan and accessories, enabling me to make some pretty adorable (and delicious) cake pops.
Hoping you all enjoy the photos as much as we loved putting the shoot together (and admittedly eating the yummy snacks during and after)!

We were so proud of this shoot we just had to submit it for publishing and were thrilled when it was picked up by Fab You Bliss and was launched into the blog viewing world on Labor Day!

Malindy Elene Bridal Shoot with AKA Photography at Courtyard Marriott Bradenton
Let me begin by saying that the Courtyard Marriott in Bradenton is not your standard Courtyard Marriott. Located right on the Manatee River, the hotel boasts gorgeous Spanish influenced architecture and several amazing fountains. I went for a meeting with Robyn, their Director of Sales, and Tarra, Catering Sales Manager, to get a run of the place and set up a hotel block for a future wedding and was so pleasantly surprised by what they have to offer. The ladies at the Marriott were wanting a bridal photo for their lobby's small wedding area to give people an idea of the ambiance that can easily be achieved for a wedding at their beautiful location. I was all too happy to accommodate their wish and quickly enlisted the help of Kristen with AKA Photographs.
We are incredibly lucky to know Megan, owner of Malindy Elene Couture for the Bride and she was gracious enough to don our model, Stephanie, with a couple of absolutely stunning gowns from her shop, and even went as far as to bring tons of accessories to glamorize accordingly!
Can't wait to get the print framed and in place for the Marriott! We'll make sure you get a glimpse of the finished product in the not so distant future!
