Jessica & Shannon's Bird Island Lake Ranch Wedding - 10.29.16 Regina as the Photographer

A lot of moving pieces go into any wedding. Some couples are heavily influenced by friends, family, tradition, Pinterest or fads. Never have I worked with a couple who created a wedding that was so indicative of their own relationship and personalities. Jessica and Shannon are both creatively minded and it showed in every aspect of their big day! While they hired me on to help plan, it was these beautiful brides who covered each detail, aesthetic, bite and sound of their gorgeous day with such meticulous thoughtfulness.

After getting ready at their house (separately!) the brides made their way to Bird Island Lake Ranch for their first look and a few quiet moments together before the madness began!

The ceremony was lovely and extremely personalized. Officiated by radio personality, Miguel Fuller, the brides exchanged their own vows and, with the help of family and friends who symbolically added soil as they entered the space, planted a tree representing their growing love.

Following the ceremony guests made their way to cocktail hour while the brides joined their families for photos and then it was time to get the party started!

The reception was made up of moments that were fun, emotional, hilarious but most importantly full of love between and for these two fantastic women!

The evening was capped off by an amazing surprise when Shannon and Jessica announce to everyone that they'd actually romantically eloped in California and had actually been happily married for months! So incredible!
Congratulations Mrs & Mrs Jones! Wishing you all the love in the world!
